Free to Listen, Free to Learn: Podcasts as Free Educational Resources Online

As digital media transforms education, podcasts have emerged as a preferred method for many academics to stay on top of the research in their field. Podcasts often offer a more in-depth analysis than videos, and can offer many different perspectives on the same topic. This session examines the role of podcasts in the Open ecosystem, and provides practical examples of how they can be used as a tool to benefit your course. It covers:

  • Why use podcasts
  • What assignments are best supported with podcasts
  • How to find podcasts, both free and library-provided
  • Accessibility considerations
